Cooking chicken with mango chutney brings a fresh delicious touch to your nightly dinner and it is a good choice for eating a  high-protein meal. Mango chutney is a very delicious spread for sandwiches and  it is also wonderful for adding a sweet taste to your cheese or chicken dish.

To cook Chicken in Mango Chutney you need:

  • 1 1/2 pounds chicken strips
  • Sauté pan
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons chopped garlic
  • 1/4 cup sliced red bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons mango chutney
  • 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon chopped cilantro

 

To start this easy recipe you need to trim the chicken strips of all visible fat. Add olive oil in a frying pan and heat it medium high heat for 2 minutes. Then add the chicken to the pan and cook it until it turns gold color on all sides. It will need about 4 minutes. Continue by adding the garlic and red peppers. Fry it for an additional 3 minutes.

It is time to add the mango chutney and fresh ginger. Reduce the heat and cook it by simmering it for an additional 3 to 4 minutes.

Serve it hot and with cilantro on top.
